Happy belated New Year!

Wadup been a while.Hoping you all had a good year last year and have a better one this year. This year started of rough with the loss of my grandfather.May he rest in peace, he was a good man.Well on that note there is a lot to talk about:-

Watched The Break Up with Jen and Vince, it was ok I guess I mostly watched coz of Jen and Vince it was nothing special, Jen is hot as usual, Vince is funny, nothing new there. Watched Red Dust starring Hillary Swank and that Dirty Pretty things dude. Effi something , he is very underrated hopefully he can do a mainstream movie and get recognized more. The movie was about the douchebags who beat up black people in South Africa, there was a process that apparently let the douchebags go free for their crimes if they stated truthfully what aweful things they did to blacks many years ago.The movie was quite good, Swank is one of the best actresses in the business if not the best and Effi did a great job, check it out if you want to know what those douchebags did to black people in South Africa many years ago.

I also watched World Trade Centre. Oliver Stone does a great job in focusing mainly on the two characters the story is about which is true by the way.The movie is well acted however I think I am through watching movies with themes or anything to do with 911, I think that chapter needs to be put to rest, we will never forget that's for sure.I then watched The Davinci Code.I have read the book so I was interested to see how the movie would turn out. I had read that there were grumblings about Tom Hanks but frankly I didn't see what the fuss was about, I think the movie did a great job with the story and it held my attention the whole way.I however think that reading the book before watching will help you enjoy the movie more. The whole story is controversial but I enjoyed myself.Funny that the other book Angels and Demons is actually better than Davinci so the movie should be a blast, I read it will be in production sometime this year, looking forward to it for sure.

In other news the whole Grey's Anatomy fiasco is barreling into oblivion.Yes Isaiah shouldn't have said that word and later on REPEATED it at the Globes but to call for his dismissal from the show is a joke in my opinion. He made a mistake and apologised everyone needs to stop whining and let it go especially the media , I was actually annoyed that the scuffle was brought up again at the globes. The show is still young and will be greatly affected if ABC screws this up, apparently there are rumors that ABC is planning on firing Isaiah, I really hope they don't do this, infact there are rumblings that they will just put up some lame message before the programme that he is no longer on the show.I think it will be aweful to fire him as he is a significant part of the show as much as the mcdreamy and mcsteamy stuff goes you can't squeeze that stuff forever the show will disintegrate into garbage.Dr. Burke's character is a nice change with all the Meredith this and Meredith that. Some comments in other forums are comparing the incident with the use of the N word which is nuts in my opinion.I like T.R and Isaiah and believe this should be handled on the set by the actors.ABC has few hits, Lost is fading, and the only other show they have with solid ratings is the Dancing with the Stars fiasco although I watch it sometimes if there are contestants I enjoy seeing succeed. Am sure there are worse things that have been said over the years to co stars so ABC don't do something dumb.

American Idol is back and so far we have seen how addictive this show is it's ratings are actually better than ever and is helping Fox close the gap in the 18-49 demo. Simon is nasty as ever, Randy is also brutal nowadays, Paula is odd at times , sometimes she looks like she is in a trance and other times she looks like she is actually among us on Earth. So far no one has really jumped up mostly it's just the train wrecks. It is always amusing to watch people with delusions of becoming the next AI.

In football the bears kept on winning with mediocre to poor offense but great defense.Saints turned the ball over a billion times, against the bears it's curtains.Drew Brees had a good year, Reggie Bush is super talented, speaking of bush I saw some people bash his celebrations, please........ he is young and having fun not everyone is LT infact if everyone was like LT the league would be very very boring to say the least.Manning finally managed to win a big game, hopefully he wins the big on in 2 weeks and can now cease to hear the phrase "Manning is one of the best quarterbacks but.........".The key to winning for the colts is simple NO TURNOVERS. They have AV the greatest clutch kicker ever, hang on to the ball colts and you have this in the bag.

Barbara Walters needs to buy a muzzle for Rosie, she is now passsed annoying and needs to be told to STFU immediately.I could go on but we could be here all day, have a good week nice to be back.

The Sopranos and MI-5

Hi, I finished up the first part of The Sopranos season six and was worried at first as many people were complaining that it was not that good.Fortunately I disagreed with them as I found it as good as ever with Tony getting shot again! AJ causing problems and hooking up with a really hot chick, is it just me or is Meadow rather thin? I read she had some issues with her wieght hope she eats something as I think she is a tad thin but still beautiful.I think many people just want lots and lots of violence in EVERY sopranos episode frankly that would suck as this show is not just about soprano killing someone every day but his trial and tribulations as a mob boss , father and husband.I wonder what David Chase will do next? once this show ends next year? He has made boatloads of dough and doesn't need to work but I would like to see him helm a new show as he created one of the best shows EVER.

I just completed the first six episodes of MI-5 and was iffy at first but the series built momentum and what a cliff hanger ending!!.Once you start caring for the agents you will be hooked on this BBC show, looking forward to watching volume 2 and 3.Also it is a welcome change after watching predominantly American shows it is nice to change it up once in a while. On the tv landscape it's re run hell until next year which sucks luckily I have MI-5 and Monk series to catch up on which should lead me to next year, yeah I ignored Monk for a long time but after Tony Shaloub won emmy's almost every year I have to give it a shot and see how the show is, I have watched maybe 2 episodes then got caught up with other things and BAM there are 3 seasons out on dvd already!.One thing I have noticed is it is great to watch a show that has lots of suspense and cliff hangers on dvd as you are able to watch the next episode immediately without having to wait a week, also the lack of ADS is pure gold!! can't tell you how annoying it is to watch something on tv and then have to endure ads ugh!.Otherwise that's what I have been upto have a good one.

Sleeper cell season one

I stumbled onto this supposed mini series a week ago.It is a show that was on Showtime and was meant to be a mini series however it appears it will be back for another season. The show centers on an undercover FBI agent named Darwyn who is a muslim and is undercover in a sleeper cell in the Los Angeles area. The plot is well written and acted, the show made me weary that such a cell may very well exist. The show unravels as the cell is planning a major attack after 9/11 Darwyn must keep the FBI informed on the developments and assist in stopping the attack.Showtime is quickly becoming a powerhouse cable network with This show, Weeds, The Brotherhood and recently Dexter.HBO better watch their back especially after The Sopranos comes to an end to me the only shows they will have left will be the last season of The Wire and the addicting Entourage after that there is nothing of significance, they need to step up to the plate as they had been coasting when they had, SFU, OZ, The Sopranos,The Wire, Sex and the City, Deadwood, most of these shows are either gone or are soon to be gone.

In other news Studio 60 was good this week, Amanda Peet , Steven Weber are doing a good job in their roles the interesting part this week was the apparent affection Bradley Whitford's character has for Jordan oh and Matt planting a fast one on Harriet was funny. This show is well written and acted however it needs a new time slot pronto.Heroes was also very good this week with the revelation that Peter is the bomb , that hiatian dude talking was also interesting can't wait for next month when it continues.Friday Night Lights was awesome yestereday with Matt stumbling along on his date with the coach's daughter. The HOT Layla Garrity had a rough day being dismissed by Jason.Tyra getting livid that Tim had slept with Layla was amusing cause Layla is everything Tyra wishes she was. They are both gorgeous though.Smash needs to stop taking those drugs pronto although the pressure to succeed is very high especially in that town.We are about to get into rerun hell which sucks, this is where having a Netflix membership comes in handy.Today I start watching the first half of The Sopranos season six see you after completion.

Huff season one and some tidbits

Howdy! finished watching this very good but shortlived series starring Hank Azaria, Oliver Platt, Blythe Danner, Paget Brewster.By the way Paget is hot damn!.This show only lasted 2 seasons which sucks as it was a very good drama, it had everything you could want, humour, hot chicks, drama yet it still got canceled, this is a mistake Showtime made as evidenced by the emmy Blythe Danner won for the show which was awkward to accept with the show already canceled. It's supposed to be harder for shows to get canceled in cable land so this was surprising.Sometimes even cable strikes out now and then see HBO canceling Deadwood also.

In other news Prison Break is on a BREAK pun intended, that was quite an ending last week hopefully fans will still be around although hooked up with 24 should help things out considerably.Studio 60 I have decided is almost too good of a show which is saying something, I think the writers are trying to over outdo themselves which is creating a bit of a mess at times I still watch it though, whether it comes back next season is anyone's guess. It may come back but it should first get a new timeslot, and ease up on the writing a bit, most of the sketches are not funny and waste time, Perry and Brad are good , even Peet who was getting trashed earlier is ok to me, Steven Webber is good as well.Friday Night Lights writing and performances continue to amaze people unfortunately think this show is just about football every minute which is a shame as it is much more.Oh and Layla Garrity is the hottest newcomer at the moment.Heroes is very good and is the breakout show this season Monday should be fun.

Did anyone watch the Madonna concert or was it just me? I always make a point of watching her concerts as she really puts on a show and for a woman almost 50 she is turning back the clock, she has a better body than many 25yr olds, her perfomances kick ass always.

Britney is on a flashing spree this week, phew wear a thong atleast damn.Anyone find it amusing that she was hanging around Paris and Lohan who also have had the privelege of showcasing their nether regions? only in Hollywood I tell you, only in Hollywood.

Will the paparazzi leave Brad and Jolie alone please? we don't need to know their every move thanks. This also goes for Lohan, give the gal a break she is only 20 but seems to be pushing 40 at this rate.No one in Hollywood should announce their plans to get married especially after the 100% failure rate to last even 5 yrs, for once let it be a surprise when we read that so and so are divorcing leaving us to ask they were married?.

American Music Awards were not bad, Kimmel trashing K-fed just before Britney presents an award was amusing, I hear she was non too pleased.Performances were good , Jay-z was standard, Mary brought down the house as usual heck even Jamie Fox performed well even though I was cynical to his musical talents.Gwen Stefani's single is not that good in my opinion.Beyonce was great as usual Jigga is a very lucky man, speaking of jigga his new album is quite good, best tracks for me are, Oh My God,Minority Report, 30 something, Trouble, Dig a hole( sick beats here), and the last one with Chris Martin of Coldplay Beach Chair.I hope he perfoms Beach Chair somewhere that would be dope.Grey's Anatomy was strong with all the drama of Dr. Burke, Christina, George, show still owns all shows currently on air.Have a good weekend.

Things on Tv That annoy me

1. Ads, I know this is how networks make their money but I still loathe them to a high degree.

2. The Movie trailer announcer saying that this is the best movie in ten years blah blah blah.

3. The Movie critic from a paper you have never heard of giving a movie 5 stars.

4. The Bachelor, The nanny, Wife Swap, all garbage we could do without.

5. The Cw cancelling Everwood to showcase Runaway, cancelled already go figure.

6. The Cw slowrolling Veronica Mars and taking forever to pick up episodes, this is the best show they have and they have no idea, ratings aside they cancel this show the CW ceases to exist atleast for me.

7. How long it takes shows on HBO or cable for that matter to be available on dvd.

8. The lack of attention from viewers The Wire gets possibly one of the best dramas ever made.

9. HBO's decision to cancel Deadwood, bad bad idea.

10. Over saturation of the same drama see CSI MIAMI, NY.The original CSI is still the best.

11. Lack of quality programs on Friday's and Saturday's.

There are many more ams sure you have thought of feel free to add some.

The Brotherhood

Hi hope you all had a good thanksgiving weekend.I had a good one and watched the first season of The Brotherhood. This is a show on Showtime about two brothers on opposite ends of the law one is a congressman the other is a hoodlum. The story is well written and acted and I enjoyed the first season very much and am glad it will be back next season.Michael Caffey kicks ass big time nice ending of the first season too will make you anticipate season 2 .Cable owns all other television media that is all.

Smallville

Well I finished watching last season's Smallville recently.I have followed Smallville all the way from the first episode and am glad it has lasted this long.I think the most appealing thing about Smallville besides the actors is that Clark Kent doesn't change into that darn cape and tights, it's much better this way.The story also unfolds quite well, the babes are hot see Lana, Chloe, Lois. The Luthors are ruthless as well Lex does a great job treading the line of friend and foe.In this season Chloe knows Clark's secret and is amazed at what he can do.Clark and Lana's relationship goes through tough times mainly because Lana is tired of not being told the truth by Clark, She ends up getting dumped by Clark and runs to the one person she really shouldn't run to.

There is a death in Smallville that changes a few things, plus lots of characters with different abilities courtesy of the meteor shower. We also learn that there is a different kind of kryptonian rock that has a different effect on Clark compared to the red and green rocks. The best episode is saved for the last one and ends in a cliff hanger as usual. All in all it was a great season and am happy it still continues to kick ass after all these years especially being on a small network.

In other news Prison Break is kicking ass as usual.Studio 60 is getting better,Friday night Lights continues to be one of the best new shows people are missing out on,Dancing with the Stars is over with Emmit Smith winning, I could see this coming a mile away.People were going to vote for the most charming guy not necessarily the most talented and that sucks for Mario cause there is nothing else really he could have done to win see Stacy Kiebler last season.Good for Cherly she has led her partners to victory she is good and hot too. Those chicks bodies are sick-in a good way.I had neglected Law and Order SVU cause I was tired of the procedurals, however I watched an episode last weekend and on Tuesday this week and I must say if there is any Law and Order you watch this is a must, yes it is pretty grim at times but it is also good.Mariska is good and I hope she comes back soon even though Connie Nielson is doing a good job.

Speaking of chicks according to some reports Michele Rodriguez of multiple arrests fame is gay? or bi? who knows apparently Kristana Loken of T3 fame is in a relationship with her.Interesting, also apparently that Harriet chick on Studio 60 is also gay, have to say there are some attractive gay chicks out there Kristana being among them. That's all folks am currently plowing through last season's Las Vegas have a nice weekend.

Veronica Mars season 2

Wadup! finished up season 2 and it was quite good. This show is very well written with great witty comedy added in as well.I am amazed it struggles in getting audiences it really shouldn't.I hope it builds an audience and is not shelved as that would suck.It is the only thing I can stomach to watch on the CW this and One Tree Hill. The CW made a bone head decision to cancel Everwood which was one of the best shows on tv let alone on the WB, it's replacement? Runaway which has been cancelled already what a joke.In this season of Vmars we get to see who blew up the bus and sent it over a cliff, once again you will never guess who it turns out to be, so got watch immediately.

I have just realised that not many show this fall are must see other than Heroes and Friday Night lights also Studio 60 barely only because this weeks episode was quite good.No wonder shows are struggling it's tough nowadays to create a show that generates viewers, they seem to be bored or are sticking to old shows. It is always amazing that peeps will rather watch Dancing with the Stars than scripted shows, this is troubling to say the least.Anyway am starting Smallville season 5 so hopefully it kicks ass I have followed this show from season one so am glad it's alive and well.Lost went into a break until Feb which is risky especially if Daybreak bombs hopefully peeps will still be around next year and not defect to Criminal Minds which they seem to be doing already.Have a good weekend and happy veterans day to all you vets out there.
